Funding from the Migration Research Group to a maximum of £1000 is available, with a requirement for contributing/matching funding from relevant departments, centres, units or external sources. Funding is designed to support a one or two day research workshop on any theme related to the study of international migration to be held during the academic year 2016-17. We envisage offering funding to support 2 to 3 events. Events must be held by the end of academic year 2016-17.

Workshop applications should be made on the attached form below and demonstrate: (i) the rationale for the proposed workshop and the research questions that will be addressed; (ii) specification of participants with a requirement that there be active participation by Sheffield and non-Sheffield based researchers with the lead applicant(s) based in a Faculty of Social Sciences Department/School); (iii) how the workshop will result in high quality outcomes with preference for applications that develop/create networks aimed at preparing bids for external funding; (iv) provide a justification of the claim for resources and identify sources of contributing/matching funds.

The closing date for application is Monday 14 November 2016. Notification of outcomes will occur by the end of November 2016.
