Dr Maria Teresa Ferazzoli


Maria Teresa Ferazzoli is a research associate in the Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield with an interdisciplinary and multifaceted working experience as practitioner and academic.

As research associate, she has worked on research projects that explore particularly sensitive subjects, including the role of faith-based organisations in anti-trafficking, and parent’s experiences of miscarriage, stillbirth and unexplained neonatal death. She joined the team of the EU project MIMY: EMpowerment through liquid Integration of Migrant Youth in vulnerable conditions in September 2021.

Research interests

Maria Teresa’s research interests include the provision of mental health support in different countries, and she previously worked as a project coordinator for the mental health charity, Mind.
