Dr Majella Kilkey and Obert Tawodzera attended the UK Social Policy Association’s Annual Conference, held between 8th and 10th July at Durham University, and which had the theme Securing the Future: the Challenge for Social Policy. Their paper, Care and Wellbeing: the Experiences of migrants ageing at home in diverse places, drew on their research with ageing migrants, conducted as part of the Work Package – Care ‘In’ and ‘Out’ of Place – to analyse ‘ageing in place’ in the context of austerity and inequality between places in England.
